Huntress

I feel the wind rush through my hair

as I run through the forest

bow in hand.

My bare feet hit the hard ground

as I raced after the animal

needed for tomorrows feast.

He stops running and turns around.

I aim and let go,

and watch my arrow soar.

I snap awake and see my book

Lying beside me.

I pick it up and begin my hunt

once again

  1. Hi, being a Scientist poetry is not a strong point, but i did love reading your poem and the imagery was brilliant. I could see the pictures of the hunter and the environment, i liked the twist at the end as you returned to the hunt.

brilliant. why did you choose to write this? was it a school task or free choice? have you had any work published? would you like to?

To keep your work in some sort of published form you could try.

http://www.myebook.com/ very simple to use and very effective.

enjoy spring break and look forward to reading more soon.
